Automatically
Digitize Images
You can automatically digitize any graphic images
in the DISurf program. It works by digitizing your image relative
to color or hue changes within the image.
-
On the File menu click
Open. Locate the folder that contains the bmp,
png, gif or jpg file you want load and double-click it.
- On the Objects menu, click Digitize...
-
Set your options and click the Digitize
button. The program will prompt you to choose the number of
contour levels you want.
-
DISurf filters and smoothes the image and generates
and displays contours (isolines) of the mapped image. The contours
are saved as contours and can be copied to the Drawings
group in the Map Tree and then saved as polylines to an ASCII,
GEN or DXF file. To copy all contours, right-click the Map Tree
item Contours and then click Copy to
Drawings. To copy a one contour, right-click the contour
name and repeat the process above.
