The Grid
In order to build a contour map, a grid must be
created and values interpolated into the grid nodes based upon the
base data input. The methods of interpolating or assigning these
values are covered in another chapter. When you first create a contour
map, DISurf automatically creates and overlays an orthogonal 100
node x100 node grid sufficient to cover all datapoints. This default
grid does NOT necessarily contain square nodes!
You may adjust or edit the grid by either clicking
on Objects | Grid, or by clicking the
Grid button on the Map Tree at the left of the map.
A dialog box pops up giving you the option to make the grid finer,
typically to obtain smoother contours, coarser, typically in order
to run faster, or to define the grid with square cells. The length
of a square cell side should be given units of X and Y.
Click the Advanced button to create
an irregular grid or to save/load it.
If the Auto load box is checked, the grid
is loaded from the directory when you open the data file in this directory
(if the EqNet.net file was created in previous session).
The Show/Hide grid button in the
toolbar panel shows or hides the grid. The grid parameters are automatically stored in the
directory of input data (EqNet.net file).
By RIGHT CLICKING the Grid on the Map
Tree, you will generate a CONTEXT MENU
Use the following commands from context menu for
